Obstetrical And Gynaecological Nursing
The Department of Obstetrical and Gynaecological nursing teaches the subject with theoretical and practical elements to undergraduate students in the 3rd and 4th year of B.Sc Nursing degree course as well as in the 1st year P.C.B.Sc Nursing course which is a bridging course after the general nursing and midwifery course for the students.
The department also offers a post graduation course for clinical specialty in Obstetrics and Gynaecology nursing. Our graduates and postgraduates are trained by expert teaching faculty, so that they are competent and efficient in rendering the best possible MCH care to the community at large. We ensure effective and efficient services to our student community in all areas and enable them to function as educators, managers and researchers in the field of Obstetrical and Gynaecological nursing.

- Department of Obsterics & Gynecological Nursing LMCN is fully equipped with MCH Laboratory facilities.
- Students are trained in antenatal Assessment and care, postnatal assessment and care ,antenatal and postnatal exercises.
- Demonstrate Breast palpation methods with models, demonstrating female pelvis foetal skull and mechanism of Labour both normal and abnormal cases. Experience of conduct of delivery also is made avialble to students in the clinical area. Various important days like, wirld breast feeding week, safe motherhood are observed.
