Nitte college of physiotherapy hosted a national level physiotherapy conference, “Nitte Physiocon 2015” with theme of “living concepts & ongoing changes” on Jan 30th & 31st 2015. It was inaugurated by Dr P Chandra Mohan, vice chancellor Yenepoya University at Kshema auditorium. Dr Ramananda Shetty, vice chancellor was guest of honour and Dr Umashankar Mohanty, president of IAP was the chief guest. The programme started with Dr Dhanesh Kumar Principal of Nitte College of Physiotherapy welcoming the dignataries and Dr Ajith Soman , vice principal proposed the vote of thanks. The Scientific sessions were very interesting & knowledgeable. We had an opportunity to attend sessions conducted by Dr Harsha Rajdhyaksha, Dr.Vipul Chandra, Dr. Prabhu Raja also by our respected Principal Dr Sanjay Eapen Samuel. Other scientific sessions by other speakers were also interesting. Scientific papers were presented by PG’s Supriya, Gigi, Deepthi, Hima and Alex. Poster was presented by Yamini and Laxmi Lalaji. A cultural competition was held wherein each college had to perform for a duration of 10 minutes on any choice of theme. The theme selected by our college was “Awakening Oneness”. The cultural participants were Najumal, Yamini, Hima, Deepthi, Anjali, Tapisha, Stephen, Lakshmi, Lijin, Pallavi, Purnima, Nikita S., Dipendra, Liya, Cyanna, Bimla, Vineesha and Linsha. All the participants put up an awesome performance which included singing, dancing, fashion show and anchoring for the same.The results were announced wherein our college was declared as the 1st prize winners for the cultural competition.
