Introduction
Laxmi Memorial Educational Trust ® (LMET) was propounded in 1992 by the well-known industrialist, social worker and munificent philanthropist Dr. A.J. Shetty, in memory of his mother Late Laxmi Shetty. It is the mission of the Trust to provide education by trained faculties and develop the personality to meet the ever-growing expectations and challenges of society.” Further, as a Trust with a difference, it looks beyond its boundaries and strives hard to offer education at an affordable cost to different strata of the society. Dr. A. J. Shetty, the President and Managing Director of the Trust, started his successful journey to the domain of excellence from a humble background. He is a born leader, authentic achiever and today he is a business genius.

While on the one hand there is a need to augment resources – both technological and human, to face the competition all over the world, on the other there is also a need to reduce increasing costs. ‘The best quality at the least cost’ seems to be the motto of the present day economic development. From the human resources stand point, this necessitates the emergence of young and effective managerial talent with an exposure to strategic specialization. Our efforts in training the students match the current demands of the corporate sector. The admission procedures in our institutions are stringent. We take pride in being a part of shaping up the careers of the students.
